The brewery uses the famous waters of Excelsior Springs to brew the German beers of old. The saloon is an historic Schlitz bar that served one of the most popular German lagers in America. Many of our beers are named for the twenty-nine mineral springs that people from all over country came to enjoy the healing qualities of the water. Hopefully our beer can help heal your mind and soul.
A German Lager brewed in the spirit of Joseph Schlitz. Atlas Brew has a Bohemian yeast that is similar to yeast Schlitz used in the 1860’s. Six row barley was prominently used in German lagers which was not readily available in the US. We use a Six row barley to follow the German tradition. It is a clean crisp German lager that has a hint of citrus. (18 IBU)
A bold Ale that the scots toasted in the saloons of Scotland. The malt creates a sweetness that puts a smile on your palate. This dark beer will flow with flavor. The high ABV is there but not in taste. (57 IBU)
Named after our famous Lithia water. This a pale ale from American that utilizes the grains of Germany. The hops are present to flavor and aroma. The malt gives it a light color. (38 IBU)
The name says it all! A German Kolsch brewed in the tradition of Germany. You can find Crystal Lithia Springs on Saratoga Ave. There is a Gazebo built on the springs to mark the spot. (29 IBU)
A traditional Saison brewed in the spirit of the fall harvest of the 1500’s in France. Saison is French for season. The harvest workers were allowed 4 – 6 litres of beer per day. The beer was chilled by the streams where the barrel was placed as the workers rested under the shade trees with a cool Saison. This a refreshing beer with citrus flavors. (19 IBU)
Brewed in the tradition of Hallertau region of Bavaria. Helles is blonde beer with a muted hops character and soft malty accent. The hallertau hops was first cultivated in 800 AD by the Monks. German Pilsner malt and noble hop like Hallertau is brewed to make this a traditional Helles. (20 IBU)
A traditional Irish Stout brewed with a heavy grain bill to bring out many flavors. This a smooth stout that easy on the tongue. The flavor explodes with each sip. (19 IBU)
Brewed for the Czars of Russia in the 1840’s. Five grains create the dark color and the many familiar flavors. There will be a hint of chocolate and oats that makes this a enjoyable beer to drink. (93 IBU)
A whiskey barrel aged beer. The whiskey aroma reaches your nose long before the taste reaches your mouth. It is a sweet beer with a hint of oak which may remind your palate of a wine. (84 IBU)
